About The Position

Are you an experienced inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) looking to grow within critical care and make a meaningful impact every day? In the Burn and Wound Center at Wisconsin’s top-ranked hospital, you will have the opportunity to make an impact in a specialty that changes lives and thrive in an environment where your skills, compassion, and expertise matter. As a Registered Nurse (RN) on our 11-bed acuity-adaptable unit, you will play a vital role in a Level One Trauma Center and gain experience at Wisconsin’s only ABA-verified Adult and Pediatric Burn Center! Practice as part of a collaborative and supportive multidisciplinary team committed to delivering remarkable patient-centered care. Provide expert, compassionate care to both adult and pediatric patients with chemical, electrical, scald or thermal burns as well as those with complex wounds in the critical care setting.

Requirements

  • Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit Required
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Required
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification Required
  • ACLS within 6 months Required
  • PALS within 6 months Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
  • Relevant RN Experience Preferred
  • Relevant Certification Preferred
