This role involves utilizing the nursing process to care for patients, maintaining accurate patient records, and documenting assessments including physical, psychological, and social dimensions, as well as discharge plans. The position requires understanding and demonstrating proficiency in the charge nurse role and computerized nursing informatics. The nurse will act as a resource person for patient care, orientation, and staff teaching. Participation in unit staff meetings, mandatory educational programs, and quality improvement activities is expected. Adherence to safety and blood/body fluid policies, along with continuous professional development and staying updated on relevant techniques and regulations, is crucial. The role also involves representing the hospital positively in the community and within the organization by maintaining confidentiality and providing excellent service to all individuals. Other work-related duties may be assigned by the supervisor.
