About The Position

The Registered Nurse is accountable for managing patient care during a designated timeframe. Responsibilities include coordinating and evaluating care, teaching and delegating patient activities to other healthcare team members through therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and the environment. The position is on 5W, a 32-bed inpatient behavioral health unit that provides comprehensive care for patients with psychiatric conditions including depression, schizophrenia, mood disorders, and psychosis. Treatment is delivered in structured group settings within a therapeutic milieu to foster engagement and recovery. The unit also provides post-ECT (Electroconvulsive Therapy) care. Nurses promote mental health, safety, and compassionate care. Trinity Health Livonia is a 304-bed acute care hospital in Livonia, Michigan, providing a range of medical and surgical services.

Requirements

Associate degree in Nursing required.
Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan required.
BLS certification required.
Must be computer proficient.
Must have excellent customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; alternatively, agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years.
Previous medical-surgical experience preferred.
