Hiring for RN Behavioral Health in Moosic , PA
About The Position
We are hiring for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Behavioral Health at a beautiful, brand new facility in Moosic, PA. This is an acute inpatient hospital setting treating adults through geriatrics, with adolescents opening in April. The facility treats mental health and behavioral disorders, as well as substance abuse and addictions. Staffing ratios are 1:20 depending on acuity. Documentation is primarily in Epic with paper charting for restraints. The medication system is Omnicell, with a 24/7 onsite pharmacy. Orientation is 3-5 days and includes Handles With Care de-escalation training at no charge.
Requirements
- Active PA license at time of submission.
- 1 year of recent experience in Behavioral Health/Psychiatry.
- Proficiency with Epic documentation system.
- Experience with Omnicell medication system.
- Ability to work night shifts (8 PM - 8 AM), including weekends and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- Handles With Care de-escalation training certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an acute inpatient behavioral health setting.
- Manage patient documentation in Epic and paper charting for restraints.
- Administer medications using the Omnicell system.
- Participate in de-escalation training and application.
- Work nights, 12-hour shifts (8 PM - 8 AM), including weekends and holidays as assigned.
