About The Position

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care according to the department’s requirements and the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Working with medical providers and other care-team members, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN advocates for patients, families, and caregivers and supports the organization’s mission and values to promote positive patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) designation.
• Registered Nurse diploma.
• At least 1 year of RN experience.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Fingerprinting is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients at admission and during scheduled or as-needed shifts, identifying and reporting changes in condition.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by medical providers.
• Document care promptly and thoroughly in patient medical records.
• Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate patient needs, and address them proactively.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver holistic treatment plans that promote recovery.
• Coordinate continuity of care between healthcare providers and community support systems for specialized patient groups.
