West Penn’s Critical Care/Burn Unit is a 14-bed fast paced unit caring for both Burn and wound patients, including pediatric to adult burn injuries such as frostbite, road rash, autoimmune, chronic skin conditions, and other burn classifications. The AHN West Penn Burn Center is the only burn center in Western Pennsylvania verified by the American Burn Association and the American College of Surgeons for both adult and pediatric care, providing high-quality, comprehensive patient care from injury through rehabilitation, including outpatient services, advanced wound care, mental health counseling, and rehabilitation programs.
