About The Position

The RN Ambulatory – Pain Clinic position is based at 550 Munson Avenue in Traverse City, Michigan. This full-time role is scheduled for 32–40 hours per week during office hours of 6:45 AM–3:30 PM, on the day shift. The nurse provides care to assigned patients from arrival through departure, with courtesy, tact, quality care, and patient safety as priorities. Nurses are clinical experts and partners in care who serve as mentors, educators, and patient advocates. The role includes participation in clinical decision-making and quality-of-work-life improvement. The nurse also supports day-to-day clinic operations, including assisting teammates and providers as needed to optimize patient care. The clinic is a small office environment without nights or on-call duties.

Requirements

Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
BSN required within five years of hire date; for employees hired before July 1, 2024, obtaining a BSN is encouraged.
Employees must be vaccinated or have lab-confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella.
Employees must receive a flu vaccine during the hiring year's flu season and annually thereafter, or have an approved medical or religious exemption.

Nice To Haves

Experience in an ambulatory setting is desirable.
Previous pain clinic experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide care to assigned patients from the time they arrive until they leave.
Handle patients courteously and tactfully, prioritizing quality care and patient safety.
Assist with day-to-day clinic operations as needed for optimal patient care.
Assist fellow teammates and providers when necessary.
Participate in clinical decision-making and contribute to improving the quality of nursing work life.
Serve as a patient educator, mentor, and health care advocate.
