About The Position

This is a 60% FTE position with 8/10 hour day/evening shifts, Monday – Friday, with hours between 6:40 am - 5:10 pm. No weekends or holidays are required, though hours may vary based on operational needs. The role is located at University Hospital in Madison, WI. The Registered Nurse (RN) will utilize acquired knowledge and skills related to perioperative nursing care, procedures, and equipment to provide safe, individualized patient care. The RN will assume overall responsibility for the management of the operating room to which they are assigned. This is an outpatient OR setting that performs procedures on patients of all ages for various surgeries, including ENT, cataracts, pain, hand, foot, ortho (scopes), general, and some GYN. Plastic surgery cases include breast augmentations, reductions, abdominoplasties, liposuctions, and gender mastectomies.

Requirements

Associate's Degree in Nursing Required
6 months of relevant clinical experience Required
Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations Upon Hire Required
Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire Required
