About The Position
This position is for an RN Ambulatory Surgery at a Surgery Center. The role involves assessing patient needs based on collected data, providing age-specific nursing interventions aligned with the plan of care and standards of practice, and fostering a caring, compassionate, and respectful environment for patients, families, and visitors. The nurse will utilize appropriate health and safety equipment, adhere to standard work practices related to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators, and contribute to departmental performance through precepting and mentoring. Additionally, the role supports department growth and performance through hospital-system initiatives and Evidence-Based Practices, demonstrating continued professional growth through goal setting and educational participation. The nurse may also float to other similar units as needed and perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Advanced resuscitative certification appropriate to population if serving in a charge nurse role.
Responsibilities
- Assessing the needs of the patients as assigned based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data.
- Providing appropriate age specific nursing interventions which are consistent with the plan of care and standards of practice.
- Fostering an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors.
- Utilizing appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patients and staff.
- Utilizing standard work in relation to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
- Contributing to the overall performance of the department through precepting and mentoring novice employees.
- Contributing to the department growth and performance through hospital-system initiatives cultivating nursing involved Evidence Based Practices.
- Demonstrating continued professional growth through setting goals and participating in educational offerings.
- Floating to assist in other like units as needed.
- Performing all other duties as assigned.
