Our dermatologists manage a variety of skin, hair and nail diseases, including dermatitis caused by a wide range of allergens, fungal infections, and the damaging effects of prolonged exposure to the sun. As an RN, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills. A caregiver in this position works 7:00am to 5:30pm.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
  • One year of recent experience as an RN

  • Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
  • Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments.
  • Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
  • Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
  • Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures and specialized patient care equipment.
  • Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.
  • Cover other nursing roles within the department.
  • Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.
