As a Registered Nurse, you will play an integral role in delivering compassionate, high-quality care throughout every stage of the patient journey. You'll collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, educate and support patients and their families, and help create a seamless care experience from arrival through discharge. A caregiver in this position days, 7:00am—5:30pm, no weekends.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • In areas performing moderate sedation procedures and/or cardiac stress testing, must have current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification within six months of hire
  • One year of recent experience as an RN OR LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting OR a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
  • Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage, and establish care plans.
  • Administer medication and treatments.
  • Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
  • Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
  • Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures, and specialized patient care equipment.
  • Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.
  • Cover other nursing roles within the department.
  • Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.
