About The Position

Works with THV cardiologists in the cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology labs, recovery areas. Explains procedures and treatments to patients to gain cooperation, understanding, and allay apprehension. Assists with medical procedures appropriate for a Registered nurse under the direction of the THV physicians. Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patients. Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol. Performs pre procedural laboratory and document review and patient teaching for TEE, cardioversions, caths, pacemakers, etc.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited RN program with current Michigan license
Experience working in acute care cardiology; critical care experience preferred
BLS and ACLS certification required
Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
