RN (Ambulatory Care)
About The Position

This role involves managing, delegating, and coordinating quality nursing care, assisting in maintaining a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment, and developing effective working relationships with peers, leadership, and the interdisciplinary team. The position requires accountability for professional practice through education, maintaining clinical competency, licensure, and certifications, and completing mandatory education. The RN will deliver family-centered, child-focused patient care using the nursing process, critical thinking, and evidence-based practice. Opportunities exist to serve as a preceptor, charge nurse, or competency validator, and to participate in departmental and hospital-wide committees or task forces. The role also involves supporting departmental and organizational change and providing suggestions, while demonstrating the Scottish Rite CARE RITE values.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing required
- Current Texas RN license or eligible for a temporary permit from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
- 2 or more years nursing experience required
- Pediatric experience required
- American Heart Association BLS
- PALS certification
- Competent in Windows OS and the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- EPIC experience required
- Full time or part time status required
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
Responsibilities
