The position requires accountability for professional practice through education, maintaining clinical competency, licensure, and certifications, and completing mandatory education. The RN will deliver family-centered, child-focused patient care using the nursing process, critical thinking, and evidence-based practice. Opportunities exist to serve as a preceptor, charge nurse, or competency validator, and to participate in departmental and hospital-wide committees or task forces. The role also involves supporting departmental and organizational change and providing suggestions, while demonstrating the Scottish Rite CARE RITE values.
