About The Position

Essentia Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to serve as an ambulatory care supervisor in our Brainerd Clinic in Brainerd, Minnesota. This RN works 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, in a salaried position. Weekends, holidays, and on-call are generally not required. Relocation assistance is available for qualifying candidates. Requirements

  • BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing.
  • Current RN license with the Minnesota State Board of Nursing upon hire.
  • AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
  • 2 year’s nursing experience in related specialty, ambulatory setting; or community health with demonstrated leadership ability.

Responsibilities

  • Provides oversight of the daily operations of the assigned department including staffing and developing/implementing workflows and processes as well as provides input to the leader regarding policies, procedures, systems, and operating budgets.
  • Responsible for direct nursing leadership, nursing staff development, patient care, and patient advocacy.
  • This individual may perform RN duties to skillfully assess the patient’s health and respond to interventions, provide treatments, and offer education and counseling that lead to improvement of the patient/family’s self-management skills.
  • Supports continuous quality improvement efforts in order to achieve high quality and ongoing progress in all areas of care and service.
  • Oversee staffing needs while developing and implementing efficient workflows and processes to enhance departmental performance.
  • Collaborate with leadership to provide valuable insights on policies, procedures, systems, and operating budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Take charge of direct nursing leadership, fostering staff development, promoting exceptional patient care, and advocating for patient needs.
  • Utilize your nursing expertise to assess patient health, respond to interventions, provide treatments, and offer education and counseling that empower patients and families in self-management.
  • Champion continuous quality improvement initiatives to elevate the standard of care and service across all areas.
