About The Position

Essentia Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to serve as an ambulatory care supervisor in their Brainerd Clinic in Brainerd, Minnesota. This RN works 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, in a salaried position. Weekends, holidays, and on-call are generally not required. Relocation assistance is available for qualifying candidates. The supervisor provides oversight of the daily operations of the assigned department including staffing and developing/implementing workflows and processes, and provides input to the leader regarding policies, procedures, systems, and operating budgets. They are responsible for direct nursing leadership, nursing staff development, patient care, and patient advocacy. This individual may also perform RN duties to skillfully assess the patient’s health, respond to interventions, provide treatments, and offer education and counseling that lead to improvement of the patient/family’s self-management skills. The role supports continuous quality improvement efforts to achieve high quality and ongoing progress in all areas of care and service.

Requirements

  • BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing.
  • Current RN license with the Minnesota State Board of Nursing upon hire.
  • AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
  • 2 year’s nursing experience in related specialty, ambulatory setting; or community health with demonstrated leadership ability.
