RN - Adult Behavioral Health
About The Position
You will be responsible for organizing and providing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. You will delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions. You will contribute to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies. Deliver Comprehensive Care: Provide nursing care that is holistic, compassionate, and centered on the individual needs of each patient. Exercise Professional Autonomy: Take responsibility for your nursing practice by making informed decisions and promoting health, recognizing that quality care is a universal right. Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with patients and a multidisciplinary team (Behavioral Health Technicians, Nursing Assistants, Health Unit Coordinators, Occupational Therapists, Psychotherapists, Counselors, and Psychiatrists) to assess concerns, identify issues, and integrate both subjective and objective data. Implement and Evaluate Care Plans: Develop tailored care plans, apply appropriate interventions, and continuously evaluate patient outcomes to enhance overall care quality.
Requirements
- BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing
- Current nursing licensure in Minnesota
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 month from date of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in adult behavioral health as an RN, BHT, or capstone/intern preferred
