About The Position

The Admissions RN is a first responder who assesses eligibility for Empath Health Network of Care and advocates for appropriate access to care at the right time and in any care setting. The nurse completes the admission process according to care program requirements, guidelines, and patient-specific needs. The role also involves supporting the organization’s mission, providing excellent customer service, building internal and external relationships, and ensuring regulatory compliance, including accurate visit and branch codes for EMR billing.

Requirements

Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Florida Registered Nurse license.
Valid Florida State Driver’s License.
Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds.
For field-based positions, reliable transportation and proof of valid automobile insurance are required.
Must receive a passing grade on a pre-employment computer literacy evaluation.

Nice To Haves

Ability to type 25 words per minute is highly preferred.
