About The Position

This position involves providing direct patient care in an acute care setting. The Registered Nurse (RN) will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and evaluate patient care plans, monitor patient conditions, administer treatments and medications, and educate patients and their families. The role also includes assisting physicians during procedures, performing lab work, and staying current with medical knowledge through continuing education.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associates in Nursing, or has graduated from an accredited and approved nursing program.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Current certification/license in the State of Missouri.
  • Class B Basic Life Support (CPR) within 90 days of employment and renewed biannually.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels.
  • Ability to complete competency CPR and First Aid.
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical equations.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of general, or Skilled Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating with physicians and other healthcare professionals for creating and evaluating customized care plans.
  • Maintaining reports of patients’ medical histories, and monitoring changes in their condition.
  • Carrying out the requisite treatments and medications.
  • Changing patient’s medication as indicated by their conditions and responses.
  • Maintaining hygienic and safe working environment in compliance with the healthcare procedures.
  • Providing instant care during medical emergencies.
  • Discussing treatment with pharmacists and physicians in the critical cases.
  • Providing necessary guidance on health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Preparing patients for examinations.
  • Educating patient’s families about the disease and its treatment.
  • Assisting doctors during surgery.
  • Attending educational workshops for enhancing professional and technical knowledge.
  • Performing lab work and giving complete information to the physician about patient’s condition during anesthesia.
  • Recommending drugs and other forms of treatment, like inhalation therapy, physical therapy, etc.
