About The Position

Located in Lakewood, Colorado, St. Anthony Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center providing a full range of medical specialties and health care services. The hospital boasts a state-of-the-art medical campus and is home to Flight For Life® Colorado. It features four trauma rooms, including a dedicated field-to-surgery suite ready 24/7 for trauma surgeons and specially trained teams, enabling life-saving care for severely ill and injured patients. St. Anthony Hospital has received Magnet designation and numerous awards and accreditations from organizations such as the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, and The Joint Commission. The hospital combines a heritage of expert care with the latest technology and innovation, offering opportunities to practice in trauma, cardiology, stroke, neurosciences, breast imaging, cancer/oncology care, and surgery. The 3rd Floor Surgical Unit is a new 28-bed unit specializing in post-operative care for general elective surgical cases, serving patients with a wide range of diagnoses requiring planned surgical intervention. This unit is described as a fast-paced environment that fosters teamwork and strong coworker relationships, providing excellent patient care. It also offers growth pathways for staff interested in Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, and the OR.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Nursing required
• Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs
• One year experience preferred
• RN License required
• Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
• Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
• Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty

Responsibilities

• Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
• Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.
• Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
