About The Position
AltaPointe is a well-established healthcare organization making a positive impact in communities. This position is at BayPointe Hospital, a psychiatric acute care facility in Mobile, AL, serving children, adolescents, and adults. BayPointe assesses and evaluates individuals in psychiatric crises, focusing on stabilizing symptoms and preventing commitment. Patients admitted exhibit life-threatening, destructive, or disabling behavior or symptoms and receive 24-hour clinical care. The goal is to help patients return home or to the least restrictive level of care. BayPointe also serves children and adolescents in a residential setting, offering a structured environment and therapeutic services with family support. Consumers, families, caregivers, and school system personnel are involved in treatment and discharge planning.
Requirements
- Current Alabama Registered Nurse License.

Responsibilities
- Completing the admission process for all consumers entering the facility.
- Assigning/supervising routine task assignments of unit staff.
- Administering medication as needed.
- Communicating daily with the physician regarding the consumer’s physical and mental status.
- Attending multidisciplinary meetings.
- Deescalating or resolving crisis situations on the unit.
