The 4B patient population is Adult/Geriatric Telemetry with a focus on acute cardiac conditions. The unit serves as a primary source for patients with cardiac complications, including patients requiring post-stroke care and telemetry monitoring of post-operative orthopedic patients. 4B also provides care for patients requiring external defibrillator devices. The schedule is part-time, night shift, with two 12-hour shifts (7p-7:30a) per week, including weekend and holiday rotation. The role supports Frederick Health's mission, vision, and core values, adhering to the Compliance Program and Standards of Behavior. The Registered Nurse independently provides patient care using the nursing process, performing leadership and teaching duties to support effective patient care. They also support and participate in continuous quality improvement activities and function within the limits of state and federal licensing, regulatory bodies, and hospital policies.
