About The Position

Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee programs that promote patient safety and employee safety , including identification, assessment, and mitigation of clinical, environmental, and workplace risks Develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s emergency management and disaster preparedness program to ensure readiness for internal and external emergencies Coordinate emergency response activities, including drills, tabletop exercises, and real-time incident command as applicable Monitor, investigate, and trend patient and staff safety events, injuries, near misses, and hazards; lead root cause analyses and corrective action plans Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and safety standards (CMS, Joint Commission/AAAHC, OSHA, state and local requirements) Collaborate with leadership, nursing, medical staff, and department teams to integrate safety practices into daily operations Develop and deliver education and training related to patient safety, staff safety, emergency preparedness, workplace violence prevention, and safe work practices Maintain safety-related policies, procedures, and documentation, including emergency operations plans and risk assessments Serve as liaison with external agencies such as emergency services, public health, and regulatory bodies Qualifications Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience ; experience in risk management, quality, safety, or emergency preparedness preferred Knowledge of emergency management principles and incident command systems (ICS/NIMS) Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills Safety Culture & Collaboration Champions a just culture and encourages open reporting without fear of retaliation Acts as a visible advocate for safe practices that protect patients, staff, and visitors Works collaboratively across departments to strengthen safety awareness and emergency readiness Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance Health Savings Account with an employer contribution Life Insurance PTO 401(k) retirement plan with a company match And more! Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience
  • Knowledge of emergency management principles and incident command systems (ICS/NIMS)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
