The Risk Management Safety Officer provides District-wide leadership for risk management, safety, emergency preparedness and compliance programs. This role oversees safety and emergency plans, workers’ compensation, risk prevention and control, environmental compliance, property and casualty liability, employee wellness, risk transfer, and loss-prevention strategies. The incumbent ensures District safety and emergency policies and procedures are current, compliant, and effectively implemented across all operations, and takes an active role in safeguarding employees and the public. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and demonstrate sound judgment in the administration of safety and risk programs to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
