About The Position

LINK Staffing is hiring a Risk & Safety Coordinator to serve as a key member of our risk management operation across all company locations and client sites. This role involves a variety of tasks including conducting client site safety assessments, analyzing claims trends, and training field teams on accident prevention. The position is based in Houston, Texas, at the Support Center and is a Full-Time, Exempt role within the Risk Management Services department, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Requirements

  • 2–4 years in safety management, risk management, or claims management — preferably in staffing, construction, manufacturing, or industrial environments
  • Working knowledge of OSHA standards, incident reporting, risk assessments, and safety audits
  • Experience with workers’ compensation processes including classification coding, claims handling, and broker/TPA coordination
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication skills — written and verbal — with the ability to work across all levels of the organization
  • Solid analytical skills with a focus on root cause analysis
  • Ability to travel 25%+ and conduct physical site inspections

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Risk Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification
  • CSP, ARM, or equivalent certification
  • Workers’ Compensation Adjuster’s License
  • Experience with return-to-work strategies and healthcare provider coordination
  • Spanish language proficiency
  • Demonstrated training design and delivery experience

Responsibilities

  • Serve as LINK’s primary safety resource — advising management, training staff, and auditing operations across all locations
  • Conduct on-site risk assessments at client sites to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
  • Coordinate programs to reduce workplace accidents, occupational illnesses, and long-term health hazard exposure
  • Investigate accidents and injuries; prepare materials for hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations
  • Compile and submit accident reports to regulatory agencies; develop prevention strategies and share lessons learned
  • Coordinate the full claims lifecycle — from intake through resolution — using risk transfer techniques to minimize cost
  • Build and maintain relationships with claims adjusters, insurers, outside legal counsel, and related parties
  • Input first reports of injury into the claims management system
  • Participate in all workers’ compensation claim reviews
  • Ensure all external reporting requirements are met
  • Support approved insurance programs and promote loss prevention
  • Process certificates of insurance and send annual posting notices to field offices
  • Assess, assign, and audit workers’ compensation classification codes
  • Assist with client selection related to workers’ compensation classification
  • Maintain compliance with insurance procedures and safety/risk management manuals
  • Lead the Safety Committee and help develop company-wide safety awareness programs
  • Deliver on-site training classes, video training programs, and safety awareness sessions
  • Create safety programs tailored to specific client environments
  • Serve as the go-to resource for safety inquiries from the field
  • Perform monthly trending, analysis, and reporting of workers’ compensation claims
  • Facilitate monthly reporting by collecting and distributing data and final reports to stakeholders
  • Complete trend analysis for distribution to leadership
  • Provide direct customer service and support to all LINK field offices
  • Travel a minimum of 25% to client sites and company offices for inspections, training, and relationship management
