About The Position

The Enterprise Risk Management team’s mission is to help establish a strong risk management practice across a high-growth and evolving organization. The team partners closely with business leaders and risk teams to identify, assess, monitor, and address operational, strategic, and emerging risks across the company. Team members support enterprise-wide governance efforts and contribute to strengthening the organization’s overall control environment. You’ll join a team that values thoughtful analysis, clear communication, and practical risk management approaches that support business objectives! As an Enterprise Risk Manager, you will help build, maintain, and mature Robinhood’s enterprise-wide risk management program. You will support risk identification activities, evaluate risks associated with new products and business changes, and contribute to the ongoing development of risk frameworks and governance processes. The role requires close partnership with business teams and leadership to assess risk exposure, improve controls, and support informed decision-making. You’ll also help establish and monitor risk appetite statements, risk tolerance thresholds, and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) aligned to organizational priorities. This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY offices, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise risk management within regulated financial services environments such as banks, fintech companies, or broker-dealers.
  • Strong working knowledge of enterprise risk management principles, governance structures, and risk frameworks.
  • Experience communicating risk and control requirements clearly to risk teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented when assessing risks and evaluating control effectiveness.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex risk topics to executive audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Support Risk and Controls Self-Assessments (RCSAs), risk identification activities, and enterprise risk management initiatives across the organization.
  • Evaluate operational, strategic, and emerging risks associated with new product launches, product features, organizational growth, and business changes.
  • Help establish and maintain risk appetite statements, risk tolerance thresholds, and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) aligned with business objectives.
  • Contribute to the ongoing design, implementation, and improvement of enterprise risk management frameworks within Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) systems.
  • Provide guidance to business teams on risk trends, control considerations, and mitigation strategies to support effective decision-making.
