We are looking for a dedicated Risk Manager to join our Lubbock Heart team. This role has full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the risk management program, including an enterprise risk approach to exposures, loss control/loss prevention activities, and patient safety. The Risk Manager is accountable for identifying strategies and solutions to enhance healthcare operations and reduce exposures to inherent risks. This includes supporting and coordinating facility risk assessments, providing consultation to leadership, staff, and physicians, and reviewing occurrence reports to assess risk/liability potential. The role involves analyzing data to identify risk trends, collaborating with Quality Director on patient safety events, and developing and presenting risk management training. The Risk Manager will also participate in the disclosure of adverse clinical outcomes, serve on relevant committees, and monitor compliance with various codes, laws, rules, and regulations. Additionally, this role involves reviewing high-risk patient complaints, assisting with claims and suits, acting as a liaison for physical losses, supporting safety incident investigations, and recommending policy/procedure changes. Participation in Emergency Preparedness initiatives and promoting professional growth are also key aspects of this position.
