About The Position

The City of Bellevue is seeking a Risk Management Specialist - Analyst/Finance Manager to join their Risk Management Division. This dual-function role involves data analytics, database management, and financial support, including budget monitoring. The position serves as a key resource for risk-related data, reporting, and financial administration across the City, working under the general direction of the Risk Manager.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Four or more years of professional related experience in Data Analysis, Financial Management, and/or Public Administration.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI and Salesforce platform databases.
  • Or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, competencies and abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with the budget office to manage the Risk Management Division’s operating budget.
  • Maintains budget monitoring for Risk Management.
  • Coordinates with procurement on Request for Proposals and Contract management.
  • Participates in insurance policy renewal processes as directed by the Risk Manager.
  • Assists in the research, data compilation, and preparation of risk management reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develops high proficiency with the Riskonnect RMIS (Salesforce Platform Database) to generate and manage risk management data across the organization.
  • Collaborates with the City's Business Intelligence team to transition and maintain dashboards in Microsoft Power BI, ensuring accurate and accessible reporting.
  • Maintains current reports and corresponding dashboards on City Intranet sites, ensuring information is up-to-date.
  • Supports the Risk Manager in special projects related to loss control, risk financing, claims administration, safety, and other risk management activities for the City and contracting governmental entities.
  • Maintains confidentiality of electronic records and exercises appropriate document control in handling sensitive risk and claims data.
