The Truist Risk Internship Program is a 10-week summer internship experience designed to introduce participants to risk management through meaningful work, structured learning, and exposure to the Risk Management Organization. Interns will be placed in a Risk area such as Compliance Risk, Financial Crimes, Information Risk, or Enterprise and Operational Risk Management, based on business needs and available placements. Interns will contribute to assignments that help Truist identify, assess, monitor, manage, and report risk, while supporting informed decision-making and responsible growth. The program aims to strengthen financial services knowledge, risk acumen, analytical skills, and professional networks through on-the-job experience, coaching, learning opportunities, and interaction with Risk leaders and teammates. Successful completion of the internship does not guarantee an offer for future employment or participation in another Truist program; any future opportunity is subject to business needs, eligibility requirements, and the applicable selection process. The experience combines practical assignments, manager and teammate guidance, formal learning, and opportunities to understand how Risk partners across Truist to protect the organization and enable its strategy. The program is designed for curious, analytical students who can learn quickly, organize information, ask thoughtful questions, collaborate effectively, and produce accurate, well-supported work. An internship in Risk provides a behind-the-scenes view of how a major financial institution manages uncertainty and makes informed business decisions. Participants will gain exposure to the relationship between risk, controls, governance, data, technology, regulation, and business strategy while building skills that can support a future career in financial services or risk management.
