About The Position

Great American Insurance Group's Risk Management & Insurance Internship Program offers an accelerated introduction to the property and casualty insurance industry while providing exposure to a fast-paced corporate environment and an entrepreneurial approach to risk management. This program offers a personalized internship experience within a commercial specialty insurance carrier, providing meaningful opportunities to gain industry knowledge and practical business experience. Interns are assigned to a specific business unit and contribute to day-to-day assignments and a special project in areas such as underwriting, products, or research. The program also includes networking events, professional development activities, and educational sessions designed to enhance business knowledge, develop professional skills, and foster valuable connections. This is an underwriting-focused internship that takes place over a 10-week period from late May through early August.

Requirements

Minimum GPA of 3.5
Demonstrated leadership through work experience, internships, co-ops, campus involvement, or extracurricular activities
Strong communication, analytical, planning, and organizational skills
Junior standing
Expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028
Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.
