Responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and administering the Jacksonville Aviation Authority’s (JAA) comprehensive risk management, insurance, and compliance programs for the four airport facilities. The incumbent is tasked with identifying organizational risks, recommending mitigation strategies, managing JAA’s insurance portfolio, overseeing claims administration, monitoring contractual insurance compliance, and ensuring JAA’s compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The program manager works collaboratively with senior leadership, legal counsel, department directors, insurance brokers, carriers, tenants, contractors, governmental agencies, and third-party administrators to minimize organizational risk while protecting the JAA’s financial and operational interests. Work is performed primarily in an office environment though there are instances when the employee must be in the field or at other JAA airports. The work is performed under limited supervision where work assignments are subject to established procedures, practices and standards. However, the employee plans and organizes the work and determines appropriate priorities, and the work is reviewed, usually after-the-fact, in terms of quality, timeliness, compatibility with other work assignments and effectiveness in supporting departmental goals and objectives. Reports to Chief Compliance Officer.
