About The Position

The Credit Specialties team offers risk management solutions that focus on payment, performance, and country risks, helping clients replace collateral, secure finance and release capital in a world of continuous change. The Financial Institution Practice in Credit Specialties helps banks and other financial institutions manage these exposures through credit insurance and related risk solutions. By transferring risk, they can protect liquidity, support lending activity, and free up capital to navigate uncertainty with greater confidence. Your Role Serves as a team member for key accounts for the Financial Institution Practice in Credit Specialties, drives account activities, manages timelines and accountabilities, assures service meets or exceeds expectations and protects the company from Errors & Omissions. Assists the marketing and successful placement of client transactions with insurance partners, including drafting market submissions, negotiating competitive terms, assisting in insurance structuring and wording negotiations. Promotes successful client and insurer relationship management by setting up meetings, coordinating on key initiatives and strategizing on more complex placements. Conducts research on various markets or industries to find resources on new growth areas and trends for expansion for internal use to identify growth opportunities. Responsible for accurate and timely input of data for reporting, stewardship meeting as well as servicing purposes, and new business opportunity and trend analyses. Helps manage expectations, mitigate relationship risks and applies judgement as to when to escalate major issues to senior level colleagues ensuring compliance. Develops strong relationships with professional counterparts at client organizations and insurance partners. Attends and participates in industry events and conferences to build up a strong professional network, maintain proximity to the relevant market and represent the Company. Develop technical skills by participating in training sessions hosted by the practice, the Company or industry groups / at conferences to expand service capabilities.

Requirements

  • Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree between May 2025 and August 2026 with a focus in Business, Finance or Economics
  • Understanding of Credit Risk concepts and has strong financial analysis skills
  • Experience as Broker or Underwriter (summer intern, co-ops or similar)
  • Ability to work in teams and cultivate relationships, with a focus on cross-group collaboration
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility and strong attention to detail
  • Broker license (Ontario or Quebec) obtained within 3 months after onboarding/ or currently held
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English and French)
  • CPA, CFA (or working towards to it)
  • Credit, Political Risks Insurance (CPRI) experience
