About The Position

Caterpillar has an exciting opportunity for a Risk & Compliance Professional. Caterpillar’s Enterprise Compliance Program Team oversees the company’s Compliance Program and plays a critical role in promoting ethical conduct and regulatory adherence across the organization. Caterpillar offers an exceptional compliance framework, and as a Risk & Compliance Professional, you will have the opportunity to join this team within the Law, Security and Public Policy (LSPP) organization. This role is accountable for leading Caterpillar’s Compliance Risk Assessment process, including oversight of third-party vendors and deployment of risk assessments across the enterprise. The position partners closely with risk advisors, subject matter experts, senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to identify, assess and manage compliance risks, driving continuous improvement and alignment with organizational priorities. Additionally, this position plays a key role in supporting the enterprise policy and procedure lifecycle by driving standardization, governance and continuous improvement of related processes. The role ensures policies and procedures are effectively developed, reviewed, updated and communicated in alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational standards, while partnering with stakeholders to promote clarity, consistency, and accessibility.

Requirements

Degree or equivalent experience desired
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Business Ethics: Knowledge of practices, behaviors, applicable laws, rules, and regulations governing proper business conduct; ability to demonstrate ethical behavior in diverse situations.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Risk Management: Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the enterprise Compliance Risk Assessment process.
Manage relationships with external vendors supporting the compliance risk assessment ensuring effective execution, quality assurance and alignment with program objectives.
Lead the analysis of enterprise compliance risk data and metrics to identify trends and assess compliance program performance.
Partner with senior leadership and key stakeholders to translate risk insights into actionable strategies, guide decision making and strengthen compliance and risk mitigation capabilities
Support the design and continuous improvement of Enterprise Policies and Procedures.
