About The Position

The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is seeking a Risk Analyst to join their Enterprise Risk Management team. This role will support the processes and operations of the team, acting as a consultant to management by completing projects and preparing recommendations for improving current practices or implementing new programs and processes within the Risk function. The analyst will work on assignments ranging from quantitative analytical projects to qualitative analysis in support of programming, and will lead ad hoc qualitative analysis such as supporting research, recommendations, and implementation of new products and services, as well as developing and updating policies and procedures. The role involves analyzing and evaluating risks affecting the organization's operations, performance, and strategic objectives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify emerging risks and recommend mitigation strategies, tracking risk indicators, and communicating findings to leadership and stakeholders. The analyst will also develop comprehensive risk reports, deliver presentations, stay current with industry best practices and regulatory requirements, and lead risk awareness training sessions to promote a strong culture of risk understanding.

Requirements

  • Typically requires at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or experience.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Strong organization skills and relationship building are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Track risk indicators consistently and communicate findings to leadership, stakeholders, and relevant parties.
  • Develop comprehensive risk reports and deliver presentations tailored for both internal and System stakeholders.
  • Stay current with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and evolving trends in enterprise risk management.
  • Lead risk awareness training sessions and facilitate workshops to promote a strong culture of risk understanding throughout the organization.
