About The Position

This role involves conducting client interviews and process walkthroughs, drafting process narratives, and performing testing procedures in accordance with firm standards. The associate will monitor and assess client business control environments, identify changes or exceptions, and work with a sense of urgency. Responsibilities include completing audit work papers, clearing management comments, vetting findings with client contacts, and articulating observations to teammates and management. The role also involves working closely with management to identify potential process improvements and effective business processes, including best practices and internal control approaches. Maintaining regular communication regarding project status, issues, and resource availability is crucial. The associate will manage time budgets, communicate overages or delays, and interact professionally with clients, actively participating in meetings. Demonstrating problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and knowing when to ask for help, are essential. Travel is estimated at 25-30%.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally.
  • Proficient use of applicable technology.
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Working towards professional certifications such as CPA and CIA.
  • Some experience in assessing internal controls, risks, and business processes, as well as developing audit programs to address those assessments.
  • Data analytics experience in ACL or IDEA.
