Right of Way Technician
About The Position
The City of Sugar Land is seeking a full-time Right of Way Technician in the Public Works Department. We pay our Right of Way Technicians a starting salary of $46,016 – $58,676 depending on your qualifications and experience. Requirements
- High School Education or GED Certificate required.
- Valid Texas Class “C” Driver License
Nice To Haves
- Experience in landscape maintenance, construction, irrigation, tree care or general maintenance environment is preferred, but not required.
- Texas Department of Agriculture License Category 12, 3A, & 5, preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance duties, such as mowing, trimming, mulching, and other tasks as directed for general care and maintenance of maintained areas.
- Operate and perform general maintenance on mowers, edger, blowers, and other hand-held tools
- Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers as directed
- Patrols ROW Division maintained areas for litter and debris.
- Regular on-site attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Required to work as an essential employee before, during and after an emergency or disaster, whether natural or acts of war.
- Stay abreast of, and comply with, all City and departmental policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Director and/or their designee(s).
