About The Position

The City of Sugar Land is seeking a full-time Right of Way Technician in the Public Works Department. We pay our Right of Way Technicians a starting salary of $46,016 – $58,676 depending on your qualifications and experience. Requirements

  • High School Education or GED Certificate required.
  • Valid Texas Class “C” Driver License

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in landscape maintenance, construction, irrigation, tree care or general maintenance environment is preferred, but not required.
  • Texas Department of Agriculture License Category 12, 3A, & 5, preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform landscape maintenance duties, such as mowing, trimming, mulching, and other tasks as directed for general care and maintenance of maintained areas.
  • Operate and perform general maintenance on mowers, edger, blowers, and other hand-held tools
  • Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers as directed
  • Patrols ROW Division maintained areas for litter and debris.
  • Regular on-site attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Required to work as an essential employee before, during and after an emergency or disaster, whether natural or acts of war.
  • Stay abreast of, and comply with, all City and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Director and/or their designee(s).
