Right Of Way Inspector
About The Position
The Right-of-Way Inspector performs routine technical and customer service duties for the Engineering Department. The role monitors construction performed by franchise utility contractors to ensure compliance with approved plans, the Town’s right-of-way ordinance, and applicable codes and specifications. The inspector also assists with construction permit processing and citizen complaints, conducts Engineering Inspections, and works with the Construction Inspection Team. The City of Celina operates on a four-day work week. The stated schedule is 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Thursday. Eligible employees may have a telework option one day per week, subject to department needs and Director approval.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least five years of work experience in street and utility heavy construction.
- Valid Class C driver’s license.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background investigation, and MVR check.
