About The Position

The Right of Way Agent is technical services work involving entry level aspects of land acquisition for highway right-of-way purposes. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Contacting property owners and conducting property negotiations, Checking deeds and related records for information, Locating physical improvements and property boundaries, and Assisting in the preparation of necessary documents.

Requirements

  • An Associates degree in a related field OR an equivalent combination of training, experience, and education, providing a knowledge of real estate negotiations, title examinations, surveying, estimating, appraising, and evaluation work.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of real estate valuation practices and procedures
  • Ability to read highway, bridge and multi-modal construction plans
