About The Position

As our next Rigging Millwright, you will be responsible for safely planning, coordinating, and executing machinery moves within the plant. You will play a critical role in ensuring equipment is relocated, aligned, and installed with precision while maintaining the highest standards of safety for people, equipment, and facilities. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working as a rigger or rigging millwright
  • Hoisting & Rigging Certificate from a recognized provider
  • Forklift and overhead crane certification
  • Strong knowledge of rigging equipment and heavy machinery
  • Familiarity with applicable safety standards and regulations
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to safety

Responsibilities

  • Inspecting and preparing loads for safe movement
  • Selecting and inspecting appropriate rigging gear for each job
  • Preparing and using rigging equipment such as beams, pulleys, clamps, bolts, and slings
  • Setting, aligning, and leveling heavy equipment and machinery
  • Maneuvering loads using forklifts, overhead cranes, and other heavy equipment, as well as by hand when required
  • Monitoring the condition of rigging equipment and ensuring proper maintenance
  • Ensuring all rigging activities comply with company and regulatory safety procedures
  • Communicating effectively with maintenance, rigging, and construction teams during machinery moves
  • Breaking down and inspecting rigging equipment after use
  • Supporting continuous improvement of safe rigging practices
  • Performing other related duties as assigned
