The Rigging Inspector will inspect various lifting applications to ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance. Requirements

  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and understand technical data.
  • Ability to work in elevated areas with extreme precision and attention.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of lock out/tag out procedures to minimize risk of re-energizing or the start up of stored energy of the hoist or equipment.
  • Ability to document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Effective problem solving skills and experience with prospects and clients.
  • A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Must have and maintain a valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check (including MVR), fit for duty physical and drug screening.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect rigging products and applications to ensure safety and compliance with MFG, OSHA and ANSI standards.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations regarding repairs.
  • Services existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; troubleshooting; resolving problems.
  • Builds and maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting methods and techniques for improvement.
  • Keeps overhead crane systems operating by performing inspections, troubleshooting breakdowns, and performing preventive maintenance.
  • Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklists.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance activities.
  • Provides customer service by acting as liaison between customer and office.
  • Builds and maintains customer confidence by maintaining a good response time, informing customer of problems, and completing the job in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
