About The Position

A growing theatrical systems integrator is seeking an experienced Rigging Inspector to perform stage-rigging and equipment inspections, produce clear reports and recommendations, and help expand its inspection and maintenance service offering. This is a hands-on role supporting sales, project management, installation teams, and clients nationwide. You will need strong knowledge of theatrical rigging systems, applicable ANSI standards, entertainment-specific codes, drawings, specifications, and safe work practices.

Requirements

  • At least five years of professional stage-rigging experience.
  • ETCP Theatre Rigger certification, or the qualifications and commitment to obtain certification within six months of hire.
  • Strong understanding of theatrical rigging, stage equipment, safety practices, building plans, and specifications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Acrobat or Bluebeam, and Vectorworks or AutoCAD.
  • Excellent organization, documentation, attention to detail, and safety awareness.
  • A valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel extensively.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely at heights, including on ladders, lifts, and stage grids.
  • Availability for occasional evening or weekend work.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with motorized hoists, rigging automation, or related control systems.
  • Experience integrating rigging with lighting, AV, or other performance systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site inspections of theatrical rigging and stage-equipment systems in a variety of venues.
  • Complete timely, detailed inspection reports and supporting documentation.
  • Interpret specifications, building plans, drawings, and riser diagrams.
  • Provide technical and system-design guidance to sales and project-management teams.
  • Coordinate labor and materials required to complete inspections.
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Learn and apply company inspection, system-design, and installation standards.
  • Help grow inspection and preventative-maintenance services.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers, clients, installers, and internal teams to solve field issues.
