About The Position

Barnhart is hiring a Rigger to support complex heavy-lift and transport projects, including wind farms and heavy-haul operations. The role involves hands-on work in rigging, signaling, load control, crane and gantry assembly, hydraulic equipment, rigging-gear preparation, and equipment transport. Work takes place in the field and on dynamic, outdoor industrial project sites, with travel as needed. Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work in a hands-on, outdoor environment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical work.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, travel, and overtime.
• Ability to work day or night shifts, weekends, or holidays as needed.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for field work.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in rigging, construction, farmhand work, or heavy equipment.
• CDL Class A, or ability to obtain it.
• Rigger certification or a TWIC card.

Responsibilities

• Perform rigging, signaling, and load control for heavy lifts.
• Assist with crane assembly, gantry systems, and hydraulic equipment.
• Support wind projects and heavy-haul operations.
• Inspect, maintain, and prepare rigging gear for safe use.
• Help transport equipment, including trucks and trailers.
• Work in the field and on project sites.
