About The Position

Barnhart is hiring a full-time Rigger to support complex heavy-lift and transport projects, including wind farms and heavy-haul operations. The role involves hands-on work in rigging, signaling, load control, crane assembly, gantry systems, hydraulic equipment, equipment transport, and preparation and inspection of rigging gear. Work takes place in the field at dynamic, outdoor industrial job sites and may involve travel. The position offers experience across rigging, mechanical work, and heavy transport, with opportunities for career growth and advancement.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work in a hands-on, outdoor environment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical work.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, travel, and overtime.
• Ability to work day or night shifts, weekends, or holidays as needed.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for field work.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in rigging, construction, farmhand work, or heavy equipment.
• CDL Class A, or ability to obtain one.
• Rigger certification or a TWIC card.

Responsibilities

• Perform rigging, signaling, and load control for heavy lifts.
• Assist with crane assembly, gantry systems, and hydraulic equipment.
• Support wind projects and heavy-haul operations.
• Inspect, maintain, and prepare rigging gear for safe use.
• Help transport equipment, including trucks and trailers.
• Work in the field and on dynamic project sites.
