About The Position

Upstage Crew Services is actively hiring part-time Riggers to work in the Salt lake City, Utah market. This role includes ETCP Rigger, Up Rigger, Down Rigger, and Climber/Scaffers. The position involves preparing materials, setting up and operating rigging equipment, and dismantling it after the job. Riggers must prioritize safety and comply with health and safety regulations. The duties may vary, and management reserves the right to assign additional responsibilities.

Requirements

Excellent understanding of, and adherence to, safety requirements.
Willingness to work diligently with direction and limited supervision.
Good problem-solving skills, common sense and good judgment.
Use well-developed fine and gross motor skills and exhibit manual dexterity.
Ability to regularly lift, push, pull or otherwise move and position a minimum of 50 pounds.
Ability to hear and communicate verbally as well as read and speak English.
Must be able to be contacted and respond on short notice; is required to arrive at work sites on time and ready to work.

Nice To Haves

Capabilities with equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, standard and power tools, and audio/video equipment is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Down-Riggers work on the floor, assembling gear and then sending it up to the up-riggers on ropes.
ETCP Certified Riggers focus on rigging that employs chain hoists and truss systems to temporarily suspend objects from overhead structures in any environment.
Up Riggers work in the air, in the roof structure of an arena or concert stage, or on the grid of a theatre.
Prepare materials before loading & set up rigging equipment
Operate heavy equipment machinery
Dismantle the rigging after the job
Reports to the Upstage Supervisor or Labor Coordinator
Performs other related duties as required
Must work safely and look out for teammates on the job as well
Comply with state health and safety regulations
