About The Position

The RigCLOUD Technician III is a senior field technician responsible for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of RigCLOUD systems and associated hardware/software in drilling environments. This role serves as a technical leader in the field, supporting complex system issues, mentoring junior technicians, and ensuring reliable deployment and operation of RigCLOUD technology across supported rigs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Trade/technical school diploma or equivalent field experience in electronics, electrical systems, mechanical systems, or drilling technologies
  • 5+ years of relevant field service experience, preferably within oil & gas technology or drilling systems
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical, sensor, and data acquisition systems
  • Strong working knowledge of computers, networking basics, and diagnostic tools
  • Ability to type at least 35 words per minute and effectively use email and reporting systems

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years experience with oil & gas drilling systems or rig instrumentation
  • Experience with automation systems, data acquisition platforms, or rig instrumentation technologies
  • Previous experience supporting RigCLOUD or similar digital drilling technologies

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality customer service and technical support to RigCLOUD customers and field operations teams
  • Install, commission, and maintain RigCLOUD sensor packages and supporting infrastructure according to company standards
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics for RigCLOUD hardware, sensors, networking components, and software platforms
  • Serve as a technical escalation point for Technician I and II field personnel
  • Mentor and support junior technicians through knowledge sharing, field training, and technical guidance
  • Communicate regularly with area Coordinators and Operations Management, including providing duty cycle updates and field reports
  • Document all installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Participate in and support the CAMS program for ongoing technical evaluation and development
  • Work with low-voltage electrical systems, sensors, and data acquisition equipment
  • Manage personal service vehicle inventory and support rig inventory tracking and reporting
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to identify recurring issues and provide field feedback to improve system performance
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with Nabors safety policies and procedures
  • Perform additional operational tasks as required to support RigCLOUD and related product lines
