About The Position

We are seeking experienced Stainless Steel Rig Welders to join our team for a turnaround in Central Alberta. The successful candidates will work in a safety-first environment, working 6/1 shifts starting at 7:30 pm to 6:00 am.

Requirements

  • Valid Journeyman Welder ticket (Red Seal preferred).
  • Valid CWB (current and in good standing).
  • Proven experience with stainless steel pipe welding in industrial or outage environments
  • Proven experience operating and maintaining rig welding equipment
  • Proficient in SMAW, GTAW, FCAW welding processes
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Must have the following safety tickets: Fall Protection from Energy Safety Canada, CSTS-2020, WHMIS 2015
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
  • Capable of working in various weather conditions
  • Strong troubleshooting, layout, and fitting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Ability to work safely and effectively on a night shift schedule

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in industrial construction or live plant environments is an asset.
  • First Aid is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality welding in accordance with project specifications and applicable codes.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, and welding procedures.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain rig welding equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct welds that meet or exceed quality standards with minimal rework.
  • Collaborate with other trades and crew members to ensure work is completed safely and on schedule.
  • Identify hazards and comply with all company safety policies and legislative requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Benefits

  • $3.00 night shift premium
  • LOA & Subsistence
  • LOA: $185/day for workers traveling from 100 km+ (Client approval required).
  • Travel: $50/day for those living 50–100 km away.
  • LOA employees must stay within 50 km (no travel allowance provided).
