About The Position

MetroLink Tulsa is the public transportation provider for the Tulsa area, offering fixed-route bus service, paratransit, and on-demand rides to help people get where they need to go. This role involves safely and courteously navigating assigned vehicles, assisting passengers, handling ADA-related issues, monitoring traffic and passenger situations, communicating with the Command Center, collecting fares, completing reports, and maintaining punctuality. It is a safety-sensitive position requiring drug and alcohol tests.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
  • Ability to solve basic math problems.
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and co-workers.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Valid driver's license from the state of Oklahoma.
  • No moving violations in the last 3 years.
  • No DUI/DWI convictions.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and courteously navigate assigned Metrolink Tulsa vehicles, ensuring every passenger enjoys a smooth, comfortable, and reliable journey.
  • Be the friendly face of MetroLink, helping passengers understand MTTA rules and regulations, answering their questions, and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Assist passengers with safe boarding, de-boarding, and securely restraining wheelchairs, and skillfully handle all ADA-related issues.
  • Exhibit sharp observation skills and confidently handle various passenger or traffic situations, using the radio system to keep things moving.
  • Stay connected with the Command Center, providing updates or requesting assistance when needed.
  • Accurately monitor fare collection and complete important reports, including loss reports, information gathering forms, and daily equipment reports.
  • Show up on time and ready to roll, every single day.
  • Embrace additional responsibilities as needed.
