Ride Share Driver Autonomous Vehicle
About The Position
This role is for experienced Commercial drivers to work for an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company, helping to bring the company's vision to life. The position involves ensuring safety, maintaining vehicle readiness, completing software and hardware tests, and acting as a brand ambassador to the public. The driver will also collaborate with multiple internal teams, including computer vision, infrastructure, sound design, strategy, vehicle engineering, and ride operations. The company is seeking disciplined, team-oriented commercial drivers who will have the opportunity to learn about vehicle and personnel operations, gain insight into the complexities of autonomous mobility, and contribute to its future development.
Requirements
- Basic vehicle knowledge to perform vehicle checks
- Ability to drive for long duration (6 hours in the car per day)
- Basic technology ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent driving history and no criminal history
- Proactive mindset and resourcefulness
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience
- Military experience
Responsibilities
- Support vehicle operations
- Drive 4-8 hours a day with a priority on safety
- Conduct basic software operation tasks
- Assist with documentation and metrics
- Provide accurate written and oral feedback to engineering teams
- Support vehicle maintenance and logistics
- Assist with paperwork and documentation related to vehicle readiness
