About The Position
Ride Operators are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of ride attractions while delivering friendly, attentive guest service. This role focuses on maintaining the highest safety standards, enforcing ride requirements, and ensuring guests have a positive and enjoyable experience.
Requirements
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Strong communication skills with guests, coworkers, and management
- Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Responsibilities
- Greet guests in a friendly, professional, and timely manner
- Provide clear instructions and safety information to guests
- Support Wild Waves’ safety-first culture by promoting a safe working environment and enforcing ride safety rules
- Follow all ride operating procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and park policies
- Work collaboratively with fellow team members and leadership to support park operations
- Maintain a clean and organized ride area, including loading and unloading zones and restricted areas
- Greet guests approaching the ride and clearly communicate ride rules and safety requirements
- Verify rider height and eligibility requirements, deliver safety spiels, secure restraints or safety devices, and enforce all ride rules
- Perform pre-operational and ongoing safety checks throughout the day to ensure safe ride operation
- Accurately complete required ride operation and safety documentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of ride areas, queue lines, and back-of-house spaces
