The Resource Intensive Care (RIC) Registered Nurse plays a vital role across the organization by providing expert clinical care and support wherever it is needed most. RIC RNs float throughout the hospital, bringing advanced intensive care skills to diverse units and high-acuity patient populations while serving as a trusted clinical resource at the point of care. This position works 12-hour rotating shifts, with coverage required on both days and nights, including weekends and holidays, based on departmental staffing needs. In this highly autonomous role, the RIC RN partners with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care for complex patients, respond confidently to rapidly changing clinical situations, and support best practices grounded in evidence-based care and Relationship-Based Care principles. RIC RNs mentor bedside nurses, model clinical excellence, and contribute to a collaborative, healthy work environment focused on exceptional patient outcomes. This position is designed for experienced ICU nurses who thrive in dynamic environments. A minimum of one year of recent ICU experience is required to ensure readiness for independent practice across multiple care settings. Graduate Nurses and nurses without prior ICU experience are not eligible. Title and salary will be determined based upon education and nursing experience.
