RIA Relationship Manager

Luma Financial Technologies•Cincinnati, OH

About The Position

Luma is seeking a Relationship Manager to serve as the day-to-day partner for its Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) client franchise across the United States. This buy-side coverage role focuses primarily on supporting Luma’s existing RIA clients—including independent and hybrid RIAs, multi-family offices, RIA aggregators and consolidators, OCIOs, and TAMPs—and helping them improve their experience with the platform. The role also supports growth initiatives by partnering with sales and investment products teams to help new RIA firms adopt Luma for end-to-end structured products and annuity creation, distribution, and lifecycle tracking. The Relationship Manager will contribute to expansion into additional product lines, including asset management products and OTC derivatives, and will represent RIA channel needs in cross-functional work. Successful candidates bring structured products expertise, established relationships across the US RIA community, and credibility in investment, operational, and platform discussions with fiduciary advisors.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in relationship management, client coverage, sales, or business development within structured products, derivatives, or alternative investments.
  • Strong working knowledge of structured products, including payoff structures, pricing mechanics, and the trade workflow from RFQ through maturity.
  • Established network across the US RIA community, including independent and hybrid RIAs, multi-family offices, RIA aggregators and consolidators, OCIOs, and TAMPs.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment-based immigration sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of live RIA clients across the United States.
  • Support client success and partner with firms to enhance their platform experience.
  • Build and maintain relationships with client stakeholders, including CIOs, investment committees, research and due diligence teams, lead advisors, trading and operations teams, compliance, and firm leadership.
  • Conduct regular client check-ins, business reviews, and adoption discussions; take ownership of client issues and ensure follow-through.
  • Increase platform engagement by identifying underused capabilities and leading training and re-engagement efforts for advisors and home-office teams.
  • Help RIA clients integrate structured products and annuities into model portfolios, custodial workflows, and fee-based advisory practices.
  • Assume relationship coverage for newly onboarded clients after they go live.
  • Work with sales leads to identify prospective RIA firms and reach decision-makers using existing relationships and channel knowledge.
  • Support the commercial process through client discovery, platform demonstrations, and structured products expertise.
  • Partner with Implementation, Product, and Engineering to help new clients go live successfully and efficiently, including custodian connectivity and firm-level compliance configuration.
  • Help newly onboarded clients reach steady-state use of the platform for structured products and annuity creation, distribution, and lifecycle tracking.
  • Collaborate with sales and investment products teams to expand Luma’s reach into annuities, asset management products, OTC derivatives, and adjacent wrappers.
  • Monitor RIA industry trends, including consolidation, outsourced investment platforms, and SEC regulatory developments, to inform channel engagement strategy.
  • Provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering and represent RIA channel requirements in roadmap discussions.
  • Partner with Marketing on campaigns, events, and client-facing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with sales to maintain a robust and accurate pipeline.
  • Represent Luma at industry events, custodian conferences, and client meetings across the country.
